guidoism About Me

My name is Guido Bartolucci.

I’m a husband, father of two, private pilot, and software engineer.

I grew up in West Lafayette, IN and Murray, KY. I’ve lived most of my adult life in Seattle, WA but in 2013 I moved to Menlo Park, CA.

I received a Computer Science degree at Purdue University in 1999.

For nearly a decade I worked at Amazon. Then I co-founded Wavii. I worked there for 4 years before selling it to Google, where I currently work.

You can also find me on Twitter, LinkedIn, GitHub, and Stack Overflow.

Colophon

I liberally (ehem) “cribbed” the CSS from Butterick’s Practical Typography. I highly recommend his online book. Please read it. I use his fonts, Equity and Concourse.

This website is hosted statically on Amazon S3. A (stupidly) simple Python script runs my files through Markdown and uploads the results using s3cmd. Amazon charges me 1.5 cents per year to host the site.
